CHAPTER 241.
AN ACT to repeal chapter one hundred and
eighty of the acts of eighteen hundred and
eighty-four, entitled an act to enable the
qualified voters of Garrett county to deter-
mine by ballot, whether intoxicating liquors
or alcoholic bitters shall be sold therein,
and to re-enact the same with amendment.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That chapter one hundred
and eighty of the acts of eighteen hundred

and eighty-four, entitled "An act to enable the
qualified voters of Garrett county to deter-
mine by ballot, whether intoxicating liquors
or alcoholic bitters shall be sold therein, be
and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted
to read as follows :"
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General
Assembly of Maryland, That the question
whether or not any person or persons, house,
corporation, company or association may be
licensed in Garrett county, by whom, or in
which spirituous or fermented liquors or alco-
holic bitters shall be sold, shall be submitted
to the registered voters of said county at a
special election to be held on Tuesday, the
twenty-seventh day of April, in the year eigh-
teen hundred and eighty-six, which election
shall be held in accordance with the laws
governing general elections in this State, and
the County Commissioners for Garrett county
shall appoint the necessary Judges of Election
for the several election districts of said county

Repealed and
re-enacted.

to hold said election, and the Sheriff of said
county shall give notice of the time and pur-
pose of said election, by advertisements in-
serted in all newspapers published in said
county, and by hand-bills posted in each elec-
tion district of said county, at least ten days
before the said election, in which notice a copy
of this act shall be inserted; and the expenses
