HENRY LLOYD, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR.

of this act, the Board of County Commissioners
of Baltimore county be and they are hereby
authorized and required to make the levy for

the support of the Public Schools, in two spe-
cific sums, of which one shall be apportioned
and used for the current expenses of the Pub-
lic Schools, and the other for the building of
new school houses, and no other purpose what-
ever.

School levy.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

Approved April 7, 1886.

CHAPTER 224.

AN ACT for the better protection of the Pub-
lic Roads in Talbot county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by t7ie General As-
sembly of Maryland, That it shall not be law-
ful for any person to obstruct the public roads
of Talbot county, by filling up the side ditches
of said roads with logs, wood, rails, brush or
any other material, nor shall they throw the
trimmings of hedges, fence corners or brush


from fallen trees upon said roads or in said
ditches, or make the said roads a place of
deposit for cord-wood, logs or anything that
does not belong to said road; and any per-
son or persons violating the provisions of
this act shall be deemed guilty of a misde-
meanor, and upon conviction of the same be-
fore any Justice of the Peace for Talbot county,
he, she or they shall be fined the sum of not
less than two nor more than ten dollars for

each and every offence; which fine shall be
collected as other fines and forfeitures are
now collected, and when so collected shall be,
by the officer collecting the same, paid over
to the County Commissioners of Talbot county,
within thirty days from the day of collecting
the same.
