HENRY LLOYD, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR.

SEC. 9. And be it enacted, That the School
Commissioners of Dorchester county shall, be-
fore the fifteenth day of September of each
year, furnish to said Clerk of the Circuit Court
the requisite number of printed blank licenses

in such form as required by this act and take
receipt for the same, and the said Clerk shall
return to the said School Commissioners at
the end of the scraping season all the blank
printed licenses not issued to scrapers; the
said Clerk shall be allowed as a fee for each
license issued under this act the sum of fifty
cents, and shall pay the residue of the license
money into the Public School fund of said
county quarterly, at the same time delivering
to said Commissioners an itemized statement
of each license issued, containing the names
of the boat, tonnage and owner.

SEC. 10. And be it enacted, That it shall be
the duty of the Sheriff, Constable or Officer to
the State Fishery Force to arrest any person
or persons and to seize any boat found violat-
ing any of the provisions of this act and take
them at once before a Justice of the Peace of

said county for an immediate hearing, or before
a Judge having criminal jurisdiction, to be
dealt with as hereinbefore provided; and any
person or persons who shall resist any officer
authorized under this act to make arrests, shall
be deemed guilty of a felony, and upon indict-
ment and conviction thereof in any Court hav-
ing jurisdiction, shall be imprisoned in the
House of Correction not less than six months
nor more than one year, in the discretion of
the Court; the parties tried and acquitted under
this act shall have the cost of such trial paid
by the Treasurer of said county.

Arrest.

SEC. 11. And be it enacted, That for all vio-
lations of this act the owner of the boat — if a
non-resident of Dorchester county — used in
the same, or with the knowledge and consent
of a resident owner, shall be liable to the same
moneyed fines and cost imposed upon the per-
