Fines, &c.

of Talbot county, shall be fined not less than
three nor more than five dollars for each and
every viola.tion, and be imprisoned until fine
and costs are paid; provided, that the ac-
cused shall have the right to elect a jury
trial, as prescribed by the act of eighteen hun-
dred and eighty, chapter three hundred and
twenty-six, if he so desire. On complaint to
the Commissioners of Easton that a dog or
bitch by barking, biting, howling or in any
other manner disturbs the quiet of any
person, the commissioners, on being satisfied
of the truth of said complaint, shall direct the
bailiff to give notice thereof to the person
keeping or permitting to be kept or remain
on his premises such dog or bitch, and in case
such person shall, for the space of two days
after such notice, neglect to cause such dog or
bitch to be removed so as to prevent the dis-
turbance, he shall pay a fine of one dollar for
every day which shall elapse until such dog
or bitch be removed as aforesaid. All fines
recovered under this section shall be paid to
the Commissioners of Easton.
