a certificate or order showing the amount due
him for such attendance, and by whom same
is payable within thirty days after such attend-
ance shall have been rendered; and the failure
to apply for such certificate or order within
said time, shall be a waiver by the witness of
all claim to compensation for such attendance.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 166.

AN ACT to repeal sections one, three and four
of chapter seventy-seven of the acts of
eighteen hundred and seventy, incorporating
the town of Frostburg, in Allegany county,
and to re-enact the same with amendments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That sections one, three
