the Treasurer in favor of said Elihu S. Riley
for the sum of one thousand dollars.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That upon the
receipt of said copies the State Librarian is
hereby directed to retain one hundred copies
for the use of the State Library, to send twenty
copies to the St. Mary's Reading Room and

State Libra-
rian.
|
Debating Society, and to distribute the balance
of said copies to such libraries in the cities
and counties of the State in such number as
the Governor, the Chief Justice of the Court
of Appeals and the State Librarian, in their
discretion, may deem, proper, and the further
sum of fifty dollars, or so much thereof as
may be necessary, is hereby appropriated to
pay the expense of the same.

Extra copies.
|
SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the extra
copies be distributed the School Boards in the
several counties, according to the school-going
population.

Effective.
|
SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 151.
AN ACT to amend article sixteen of the Code
of Public General Laws of this State, title
" Chancery," sub-title " Jurisdiction,'' by
adding thereto certain additional sections
empowering Courts of Equity to pass decrees
renewing leases, which shall be binding
upon persons proceeded against by publica-
tion as well as upon persons who shall have
become parties by summons or appearance.

sembly of Maryland, That article sixteen of
the Code of Public General Laws of this State,
