be and the same is hereby repealed and re-en-
acted with amendments so as to read as follows :
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the use of

sink-boxes, as provided in this act, is strictly
forbidden in any creek, cove or inlet above any
point where said creek, cove or inlet shall be
four hundred yards or less in width.

Effective.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act
shall take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 149.
AN ACT to refund to Mary V. Harding, only
child and heir-at-law of Francis Valde-
mar, late of Montgomery county, deceased,
certain sums of money erroneously paid into
the State Treasury by said Francis Valde-
mar, in his lifetime.
SECTION I. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the Treasurer of
the State of Maryland be and he is hereby au-
thorized and directed, upon the warrant of
the Comptroller, to pay to Mary V. Harding,
only child and heir-at-law of Francis Valde-
mar, late of Montgomery county, deceased,
the sum of thirty-three dollars and twenty-
one cents, being money which the said Francis-

To repay.
|
Valdernar, in his lifetime, had paid into the
Treasury for State taxes on account of errone-
ous assessments of property to him in said
county, for the years eighteen hundred and
sixty-nine, eighteen hundred and seventy,
eighteen hundred and seventy-one, eighteen
hundred and seventy-two, eighteen hundred
and seventy-three and eighteen hundred and
seventy-four, inclusive.
