AN ACT to empower the County Commission-
ers of St. Mary's county to levy a sum of
money for the building of a school-house
for colored children in Medley's Neck, in St.
Mary's county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That County Commis-

|
|
sioners of St. Mary's county be and they are
hereby empowered and directed to levy for
the building of a school-house for colored chil-
dren in Medley's Neck, in St. Mary's county,
such a sum of money as in the opinion of the
said Commissioners may be sufficient for the
purpose hereinbefore specified.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 20.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact section two
hundred and four of article twenty-one of
the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Wash-
ington county," sub-title "Justices of the
Peace and Constables," as amended by chap-
ter four hundred and sixteen of the acts of
eighteen hundred and eighty, relating to
Justices of the Peace and Constables in said
county.
SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General As-
