CHAPTER 87.

AN ACT to authorize and require the County
Commissioners of Baltimore county to levy
a sum of money to be applied to the build-
ing of a school house on or in the neighbor-
hood of Lafayette avenue and the Blooming-
dale road, in Baltimore county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the County Com-
missioners of Baltimore county are hereby
authorized and required, at their next annual
levy, to levy on the assessable property of said
county the sum of nine thousand five hundred
dollars, for the purpose of purchasing a lot and
building, or the purchase of a lot and erecting

New School.

of a suitable building for a public school house
at Calverton, as hereinafter mentioned; said
sum shall be paid to the Board of County
School Commissioners of Baltimore county,
and all of said sum, or so much thereof as
may be necessary, shall then be applied by
said Board of County School Commissioners
for the purpose aforesaid mentioned, and the
lot, together with the building thereon for
said purpose, shall be within the following
range or limits in said county: on either side
of the Bloomingdale road, on the west, either

side of Rayner avenue on the south, either
side of Jordan street on the east, either side
of Lafayette avenue on the north; the said
lot to be suitable for the purpose mentioned,
and the cost of aforesaid lot and building shall
not exceed the sum of nine thousand five hun-
dred dollars.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
