take the oath of office as hereinafter prescribed for

town officers. They shall receive an annual salary of

fifty dollars each, and no other fee or compensation

whatever.

SEC. 117. In case of the vacancy in the position of
|
|
|
|
councilman for any ward, by death or otherwise, the
|
|
|
|
mayor and council shall order an election to fill said
|

SEC. 118. The method of holding all elections in

said town shall be as follows : A. It shall be the duty

of the mayor to publish in two newspapers published

in said town, at least ten days prior to the day of

has been duly administered, shall be received by the

the failure of the said judges, or either of them so

appointed, to appear and qualify, as herein provided,

it shall be the duty of the mayor to issue a certificate to

one or more persons, as the case may be, to act as such
