relating to the annual salary of the clerk to the county

commissioners, as repealed and re-enacted with amend-
|
|
|
|
ments by the act of eighteen hundred and seventy-
|
|
|
|
eight, chapter twenty-five, be and the same is hereby
|
|
|
|
repealed and re-enacted with amendments, so as to
|
|
|
|
read as follows :
|
|
|
|
SEC. 54. The clerk to the county commissioners of
|
|
|
|
said county shall be entitled to an annual salary of
|
|
|
|
one thousand dollars, in consideration of which he
|
|
|
|
shall do all the clerical labor of his office; and the
|

|
|
county commissioners are hereby forbidden to increase
|
|
|
|
said salary, or to give any extra compensation to the
|
|
|
|
said clerk for any work he may do in his office.
|
|
|
|
SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That all acts or parts of acts
|
|
|
|
inconsistent with the provisions of this act be repealed,
|

and the same are hereby repealed.
|
|
|
|
SEC. 3. Be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
|

AN ACT to authorize and require the County Com-
|
|
|
|
missioners of Anne Arundel county to carry out
|
|
|
|
the provisions of chapter one hundred and sixty-five
|
|
|
|
of the acts of eighteen hundred and eighty of the
|
|
|
|
General Assembly of Maryland, entitled an act to
|
|
|
|
authorize and require the County Commissioners of
|
|
|
|
Anne Arundel county to build a bridge over the
|
|
|
|
Severn river, in Anne Arundel county, and to pro-
|
|
|
|
vide by taxation already levied or to be levied the
|
|
|
|
means for building the same.
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
|
|
|
|
of Maryland, That the county commissioners of
|
|
|
|
Anne Arundel county be and they are hereby author-
|
|
|
|
ized and required to build a good and substantial
|
Bridge over
Severn river.
|
|
|
bridge over the Severn river, in Anne Arundel county,
|
|
|
|
from Meadow bar on the south side of said river, situ-
|
|
|
|
ated on the property of the United States, to Brice's
|
|
|
|
