SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That if any person or
|
|
|
|
persons convicted of offending against any of the pro-
|
|
|
|
visions of this act, shall think himself aggrieved by
|
|
|
|
such conviction, he or they may appeal from the judg-
|
|
|
|
ment of the justice of the peace before whom such
|
|
|
|
conviction is had, at any time within ten days from
|
|
|
|
the rendition thereof, to the circuit court of the county
|
|
|
|
in which the trial was had. If any resistance be made
|

to the officer directed to execute this act by any per-
|

son or persons offending against the same, the said
|
|
|
|
officer shall summon the posse comitatus and proceed
|
|
|
|
therewith without delay to execute his duty under
|
|
|
|
such warrant. The justice before whom such offender

|
|
|
or offenders shall be taken, shall have full power to
|
|
|
|
issue summons for all witnesses that be named to him
|
|
|
|
to compel their appearance and examine them under
|
|
|
|
oath.

|
|
SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That all acts or parts of
|
|
|
|
acts inconsistent with this act be and the same are
|

effective.

hereby repealed, and that this act shall take effect
|
|
|
|
from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to repeal section nine of chapter twenty-

two of the acts of the General Assembly of Mary-

|
|
|
land of eighteen hundred and eighty-two, entitled

|
|

"An act to provide for the Uniform Registration of
|
|
|
|
the names of all the qualified voters in this state,"
|
|
|
|
and to re-enact the same with amendments.
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
|
|
|
|
of Maryland, That section nine of chapter twenty-
|
|
|
|
two of the acts of the General Assembly of Maryland
|
|
|
|
of eighteen hundred and eighty-two, entitled "An act
|
