Chapter 385.


AN ACT to repeal sections five, six and nine of an


act, entitled "An act to permit the shooting of Wild


Fowl from sink boxes in the waters of the Elk and


Bohemia rivers and their tributaries, in Cecil


county," passed at January session, eighteen hun-


dred and seventy-eight, chapter two hundred and


ninety-two, and re-enact the same so as to read as


follows :


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly


of Maryland, That sections five, six and nine of an


act, entitled "An act to permit the shooting of wild


fowl from sink boxes in the waters of the Elk and

same are hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read


as follows :


SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That John P. Duhamel,


of Cecil county be and he is hereby appointed special

of November, in the year eighteen hundred and


eighty-four, and that after the expiration of the term
of the said John P. Duhamel, and every two years


thereafter, the governor with the advice and consent


of the senate, shall appoint a special policeman for the


said rivers and their tributaries, in Cecil county, who


shall hold his office until his successor qualifies, or


during the pleasure of the governor; and the special


policeman appointed under this act shall, within sixty
