Chapter 385.

|
AN ACT to repeal sections five, six and nine of an
|
|
|
|
act, entitled "An act to permit the shooting of Wild
|
|
|
|
Fowl from sink boxes in the waters of the Elk and
|
|
|
|
Bohemia rivers and their tributaries, in Cecil
|
|
|
|
county," passed at January session, eighteen hun-
|
|
|
|
dred and seventy-eight, chapter two hundred and
|
|
|
|
ninety-two, and re-enact the same so as to read as
|
|
|
|
follows :
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
|
|
|
|
of Maryland, That sections five, six and nine of an
|
|
|
|
act, entitled "An act to permit the shooting of wild
|
|
|
|
fowl from sink boxes in the waters of the Elk and
|
|
|
Repealed and
re-enacted.
|
Bohemia rivers and their tributaries, in Cecil county,"
|
|
|
|
passed January session, eighteen hundred and seventy-
|
|
|
|
eight, chapter two hundred and ninety-two be and the
|
|
|
|
same are hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read
|
|
|
|
as follows :
|
|
|
|
SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That John P. Duhamel,
|
|
|
|
of Cecil county be and he is hereby appointed special
|
|
|
Special police-
man.
|
policeman for Elk and Bohemia rivers and their tribu-
|
|
|
|
taries, in Cecil county, for two years from the first day
|
|
|
|
of November, in the year eighteen hundred and
|
|
|
|
eighty-four, and that after the expiration of the term
of the said John P. Duhamel, and every two years
|
|
|
|
thereafter, the governor with the advice and consent
|
|
|
|
of the senate, shall appoint a special policeman for the
|
|
|
|
said rivers and their tributaries, in Cecil county, who
|
|
|
|
shall hold his office until his successor qualifies, or
|
|
|
|
during the pleasure of the governor; and the special
|
|
|
|
policeman appointed under this act shall, within sixty
|
|
|
File bond.

days after his appointment, file with the clerk of the
|
|
|
|
circuit court for Cecil county, a bond with sureties to
|
|
|
|
be approved by said clerk, in the penalty of one thou-
|
|
|
|
sand dollars for the faithful performance of his duties
|
|
|
|
under the provisions of this act; and it shall be the
|
|
|

act to enforce its provisions, and he shall have power

|
|
to arrest without warrant upon his own view, or upon
|
|
|
|
credible information all persons violating the same,
