SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty


of the commissioners of Harford county to appoint


three persons for each of said precincts, residents


thereof, to act as judges of elections for said precincts,


and who shall perform the duties of their office in the

Maryland, and such judges shall make their returns


in the same manner as if the said precincts were dis-


tricts, and in accordance with the laws applicable to


judges of elections, and they shall receive the same


compensation as other judges of election in said county.

Chapter 21.


AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to pay Bell


and Company for paper furnished, and for printing,


binding and distributing the report of the State


Board of Education for the year eighteen hundred


and eighty-two, as per order of the governor, in


compliance with the acts of eighteen hundred and


seventy- two, chapter three hundred and seventy-


seven, sub-chapter twelve, section eleven.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly


of Maryland, That the comptroller of the treasury


be and he is hereby requested and directed to issue


his warrant upon the treasurer to pay Bell and Com-


pany the sum of one thousand eight hundred and


seventy-five dollars, in full payment of their bill for
