the jurisdiction is granted by this act, together with
|
|
|
|
all buildings and personal property, which is or may
|
|
|
|
be hereafter within the bounds thereof, belonging to
|
|
|
Conditions.

the United States, shall be exempted, exonerated and
|
|
|
|
discharged from all state or county taxes, so long as
|
|
|
|
the said lots or parcels of ground shall remain the
|
|
|
|
property of the United States of America, for the pur-
|
|
|
|
pose aforesaid.
|
|
|
|
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
|
|
|

Chapter 135.
|
|
|
|
AN ACT to authorize and empower the congregation
|
|
|
|
of the Mission of Saint Vincent de Paul, in Ger-
|
|
|
|
mantown, a corporation created by an act of assem-
|
|
|
|
bly of the commonwealth of Pennsylvania, to pur-
|
|
|
|
chase, acquire and hold real and personal estate
|
|
|
|
within the State of Maryland, and to sell and con-
|
|
|
|
vey such estate.
|
|
|
|
WHRREAS, by an act of the general assembly of the
|
|
|
|
commonwealth of Pennsylvania, a corporation was
|
|
|
|
created under the name of " The Congregation of the
|
|
|
|
Mission of Saint Vincent de Paul, in Germantown,"
|
|
|
|
with power to purchase and hold real and personal es-
|
|
|
|
tate, not exceeding in its clear yearly value the sum of
|
|
|
|
five thousand dollars, for the purpose of erecting a
|
|
|
Preamble.
|
church for said congregation, and also a dwelling house
|
|
|
|
and a house of education; and whereas the said cor-
|
|
|
|
poration is desirious of acquiring property in Fred-
|
|
|
|
erick county, in the State of Maryland, for a church,
|
|
|
|
a parsonage, a school house or school houses, a resi-
|
|
|
|
dence for the teachers of such school or schools, and
|
|
|
|
for a burial lot; therefore —
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
|
|
|
|
of Maryland, That the said corporation so created
|
|
|
