AN ACT to authorize and empower the adjutant
|
|
|
|
general of the state, by and with the advice of the
|
|
|
|
governor, to pay the Garrett Guards the sum of
|
|
|
|
one hundred and eighty-five dollars, for services
|
|
|
|
performed in the recapture and at the execution of
|
|
|
|
John Smith, at Oakland, on the sixteenth day of
|
|
|
|
November, 1883.
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
|
|
|
|
of Maryland, That the adjutant general of the state
|
|
|
|
is hereby authorized and empowered, by and with the
|
|
|
|
advice of the governor, to pay the Garrett Guards the
|
|
|
|
sum of one hundred and eighty-five dollars, for ser-
|
|
|
|
vices performed in the recapture and at the execution
|
|
|

rett county to be hanged, for the murder of Josiah
|
|
|
ed.
|
Harden, and executed on the sixteenth day of Novem-

ber, eighteen hundred and eighty-three; and the adju-
|
|
|
|
tant general, by and with the advice of the governor,
|
|
|
|
is hereby authorized and directed to pay said sum out
|
|
|
|
of the appropriation for the support of militia for
|
|
|
|
eighteen hundred and eighty-four, to Captain E. H.
|
|
|
|
Wardwell, of said company.
|
|
|
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
|
|
|
