SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall go
into effect so soon as the stockholders of the Franklin
Bank, at a general meeting duly called, shall declare
their acceptance of the same.

Chapter 67.

AN ACT to repeal chapter three hundred and eighty-
four of the acts passed at the January session of
eighteen hundred and seventy-six, entitled An act
to repeal and re-enact chapter two hundred and
seventy-nine of the acts passed January session,
eighteen hundred and seventy, entitled An act to
amend the act of assembly of eighteen hundred and
sixty-eight, chapter two hundred and ninety-two,
adding an additional section to article fifty-one of
the Code of Public General Laws, under the title of
" Landlord and Tenant," and to re-enact the same
with amendments, so as to include Anne Arundel
and Dorchester counties among the counties to
which its provisions apply.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That chapter three hundred and eighty-
four of the acts passed at the January session of
eighteen hundred and seventy-six, entitled An act to
repeal and re-enact chapter two hundred and seventy-


nine of the acts passed January session, eighteen hun-
dred and seventy, entitled An act to amend the act of
assembly, eighteen hundred and sixty-eight, chapter
two hundred and ninety-two, adding an additional
section to article fifty-one of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws, under the title " Landlord and Tenant,"
be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted
with amendments, so as to read as follows :
SEC. 22. In all cases of renting land wherein a share
of the growing crop or crops shall be reserved as rent,
or wherein advances by the landlord have been made
