search professor? So, what I am saying to you is, and I

into the matter of autonomy. I would plead with you,

if you want to go into the area of autonomy in higher

education, then I urge it be broad, complete, for all

institutions. I think you will find this will take care

of some of the problems Dr. Pullen and Mr. Eney were dis-

cussing, the matter of who gets in and who doesn't,

because somebody in higher education probably will have

to take care of these people. Dr. Bard will have to,

if the University of Maryland doesn't", and he will get th

funds to do so. So, this is important and again I repeat

if anything needs to be added to this wonderful statement

in Section 1, it simply is to make sure that this matter

of a system of free public schools include higher educa-

tion. In other words, maybe you need another paragraph

19

or another section in this whole article — I don't know

20

which would take care of this. If you put autonomy in

21
