you look at the legislation that has been turned down by

the second chamber, that usually this is not legislation

been no serious loss to the State.

Another statement was made in connection with

Nebraska is that the legislation enacted by the unicameral

legislature was actually of higher quality than was enacted

by previous legislatures, as attested by how many of the

statutes were declared unconstitutional or how many of the
|
|

|
statutes were found to have legislative bugs or jokers.

So, the argument is the check you get from a bicameral

legislature is not a worthwhile check.
