ed or intoxicating liquors, nor any beer, ale porter, wine or
liquor of any kind having a greater percentage of alcohol
by volume than one-half of one per cent for beverage pur-
poses, without having obtained a license therefor as herein-
after provided; but this sub-title shall not apply to
sales made by any person under 'a provision of law requir-
ing him to sell personal property. The word "person" for
the purposes of this sub-title shall include individuals,
firms, associations, unincorporated clubs, companies and
corporations.

412. All such licenses shall expire on the first day of
January or July next ensuing the date of their issue, and
shall be issued for twelve or six months and for no other
times, except as provided in Section 436 of this sub-title.

413. Any person desiring to obtain such a license shall,
on or before the first day of June, if he desires a license for
twelve months, on or before the first day of December if he
desires a license for six months, file an application, in
writing, with the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Baltimore
County, in which, in the case of application for wholesale
or retail license, he shall state: First, the name and resi-
dence of the applicant and how long he has resided there;
second, that the applicant is a citizen of the United
States and has for two years next preceding the filing of
such application been a bona fide resident of the State of
Maryland, and for two years next preceding the filing of
such application been a bona fide resident of Baltimore
County, that the applicant is a registered voter of Baltimore
County, giving the district and precinct in which he or she
is registered; third, the place of birth of the applicant, and
if a naturalized citizen, when and where he was natural-
ized; fourth, the name of the owner of the premises upon
which the business licensed is to be carried on; fifth,
that the applicant owns property upon which he, she
or it pays taxes in Baltimore County, giving the loca-
tion of said property and the amount of the assessment
thereof; sixth, that the applicant is not, or if the applica-
tion is by a firm, association or by more than one person,
that none of the applicants are in any manner pecuniarily
interested in the profits of any business conducted at any
other place in said county where or for which such
a license has been granted or issued; seventh, the
kind of license desired, whether wholesale or retail,
and, if wholesale, the maximum value of the stock of spir-
ituous, fermented or intoxicating liquors, beer, ale, porter,
