CHAPTER 498.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments, Section
843, Article IV, of the Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1927 and 1930 Editions), title "Baltimore City, " sub-
title "Taxes, " sub-heading "Limitations, " eliminating the
provision's of said section which prescribe a penalty of
twenty dollars for enforcing or attempting to enforce
the collection of any tax in Baltimore City after the lapse
of four years.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 843, Article IV, of the Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1927 and 1930 Editions), title "Balti-
more City, " sub-title "Taxes, " sub-heading "Limitations, "
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
843. All taxes now levied, or which hereafter may be
levied in the City of Baltimore, shall be collected within
four years from the levying of the same; and the collection
of taxes shall not be enforced by law after the lapse of
said four years, and the party from whom said taxes may
be demanded may plead this section in bar of any recovery
of the same.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1st, 1933.

CHAPTER 499.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections
590 and 943 of Article 17 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Prince George's
County, " sub-titles "Justices of the Peace, " and "State's
Attorney, " reducing the salaries of the State's Attorney
of said county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 590 and 943 of Article 17 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition),
title "Prince George's County, " sub-titles "Justices of the
Peace, " and "State's Attorney, " be and they are hereby
