issued under this Act, or a club, society or association act-
ing under a special license as hereinafter provided, shall
sell or furnish to any person beer or other beverages of
alcoholic content on any day upon which elections are now
or may hereafter be required by law to be held, nor on the
Lord's Day, commonly called Sunday. No person, firm or
corporation, other than a hotel, club or restaurant holding
or operating under a license issued under this Act, shall
sell or furnish to any person beer or other beverages of
alcoholic content between the hours of 1 o'clock A. M. and
5 o'clock A. M.. nor on Saturday after 12 o'clock midnight,
nor at any time nor in any place to which an entrance shall
be allowed other than directly from a public-traveled way.
Hotels, clubs and restaurants may sell or furnish beer or
other beverages of alcoholic content as in this Act pro-
vided at any time except between the hours of 1 o'clock
A. M. and 5 o'clock A. M. Provided, however, that any
licensees under this Act may, with the permission of the
Police Commissioner, at any bona fide entertainment of
any society, club or association, sell or furnish beer or other
beverage of alcoholic content between such hours as the
Police Commissioner aforesaid may designate in such per-
mit.

685. Any person who shall hereafter be convicted of
selling beer or other beverages of alcoholic content, or any
admixture thereof, in the City of Baltimore without a li-
cense under the provision of this Act shall be sentenced to
pay a fine of not less than One Hundred Dollars ($100. 00)
nor more than One Thousand Dollars ($1, 000. 00), or under-
go imprisonment in the Jail of said City, or in the House
of Correction, of not less than thirty (30) days nor more
than six (6) months, or to both fine and imprisonment, in
the discretion of the Court.

686. Any person, firm or association violating any of
the provisions of this Act or of the conditions or restric-
tions of any license issued to or exercised by any such per-
son, firm or association under the provisions of this Act,
or of any rules or regulations of said Board governing the
conduct of a business conducted by such person or persons,
under any such license, shall, upon conviction thereof, be
punished by a fine of not less than Twenty-five Dollars
($25. 00) nor more than One Hundred Dollars ($100. 00),
and for any second offense shall be punished by a fine of
not less than One Hundred Dollars ($100. 00) nor more
than Five Hundred Dollars ($500. 00), or by imprisonment
