town lying within Prince George's County having the
highest number of votes shall be declared elected, and the
two candidates resident in that portion of the town lying
within Montgomery County having the highest number of
votes shall be declared elected. In preparing the official
ballots for use in such elections the Council shall cause
them to be so printed and arranged as to contain under
the denomination of "Councilmen" the names of the candi-
dates for said office resident in that portion of the town
lying within Montgomery County arranged together, and,
separately arranged, the names of the candidates for said
office resident in that portion of the town lying within
Prince George's County. After the name of each candidate
shall appear either the words "Montgomery County" or
the words "Prince George's County" to indicate that por-
tion of the town in which said candidate is resident. Im-
mediately preceding each such group of candidates shall
be plainly printed a direction to the voter; such direction
preceding the group of candidates resident in that portion
of the town lying within Montgomery County to read
"Vote for two, " and the direction preceding the group of
candidates Resident in that portion of the town lying within
Prince George's County to read "Vote for one. "

At the election to be held on the first Monday in May,
1935, and on the first Monday in May every second year
thereafter, the three Councilmen to be elected may be resi-
dent in any portion of said town and the three candidates
receiving the highest number of votes shall be declared
elected. Beginning with the first Monday in May in the
year 1934, and thereafter every two years on the first Mon-
day in May in such years, one person at least thirty years
of age, possessing the qualifications herein enumerated
shall be elected as Mayor of the said town, the candidate
receiving the highest number of votes for such office at
said election to be declared elected. The Mayor and the
Councilmen shall serve for two years, beginning with the
first Monday in June ensuing after their election.

(B) Nominations for Mayor and Councilmen shall be
made at a meeting of citizens called by the Town Clerk at
the direction of the Council. Such meeting shall be held
at a convenient place within the town to be designated by
the Council and notice thereof shall be given through a
newspaper or newspapers of general circulation within the
town or by hand bills generally distributed and posted
throughout the town and the said meeting shall be held
on the Monday evening two weeks prior to the ele-
