erty within the corporate limits of Hyattsville the assess-
ment in force in any year for County taxes in Prince
George's County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Chapter 166 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland of 1927, be and the same is hereby
repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That, 'on and after
the passage of this Act, the Mayor and Common Council
of Hyattsville is hereby authorized, empowered and di-
rected to adopt and use as and for the assessment of prop-
erty within the corporate limits of the town of Hyattsville
the assessment in force in any year for County tax pur-
poses in Prince George's County, and the adoption and use
of said county assessment by the Mayor and Common
Council of Hyattsville shall be treated and considered in
all respects as its own valuation and basis of assessing
property in the said Town subject to taxation for munici-
pal purposes.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency law and necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public health, safety and
welfare, and being passed by a yea and nay vote of three-
fifths of all the members of the two Houses of the General
Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date of its
passage.
