CHAPTER 40.

AN ACT to repeal Sections 131 to 139, both inclusive, of
Article 19 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "St. Mary's County, " sub-title
"Liquors and Intoxicating Drinks. "

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 131 to 139, both inclusive, of
Article 19 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "St. Mary's County, " sub-title
"Liquors and Intoxicating Drinks, " be and they are hereby
repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted further, That this Act take
effect June 1, 1933.

Approved April 5, 1933.

CHAPTER 41.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
396 of Article X of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Allegany County, " sub-
title "Lonaconing, " relating to the Town Clerk and Town
Treasurer.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 396 of Article 1 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Alle-
gany County, " sub-title "Lonaconing, " be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted with amendments, to read as
follows:

396. The Mayor and Councilmen shall annually, in the
month of June, appoint and qualify a clerk, who shall keep
the minutes of their 'proceedings, which shall be subject to
the inspection of all persons interested therein, and he shall
collect the taxes for said town, and the said clerk shall give
bond and security in such sum as the Mayor and Council-
men shall designate, but in no event to be less than two
thousand dollars. The Mayor and Councilmen shall appoint
also a treasurer, who shall give bond and security in such
