SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 198 of Article 13 of the Code of
of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Harford County, "
sub-title "Court Library, " be and the same is hereby re-
pealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect on June 1, 1933.

CHAPTER 39.

AN ACT to add four new sections to Article 13 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Harford
County" sub-title "County Commissioners, " to follow
Section 234D of said Article and to be known as Sections
234E to 234H, authorizing and empowering the County
Commissioners of Harford County to borrow upon the
faith and credit of Harford County a sum of money not
to exceed Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($300, -
000. 00) at a rate of interest not to exceed 4 1/2%, for the
purpose of paying off and retiring part of a loan of
Four Hundred and Forty Thousand Dollars ($440, -
000. 00), made for the purpose of constructing State
Roads and which will mature and come due on October
1, 1934, and providing for the levying of taxes by said
Commissioners to re-pay the loan and interest thereon,
and providing that said loan and every part thereof and
the interest payable thereon, shall be and remain ex-
empt from State, County and Municipal taxes, and

WHEREAS, In order to further the construction of State
Roads in Harford County the legislature of 1931 author-
ized the County Commissioners of Harford County to bor-
row the sum of Seven Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dol-
lars ($750, 000. 00), and under the authority of said Act
the said Commissioners negotiated a loan on September
1, 1931, for Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars
($250, 000, 00) payable on September 1, 1933, and have
made provisions for the payment thereof by the levying
of Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars ($75, 000. 00) in the tax
levy for said County for the year 1933, the balance of One
Hundred and Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars ($175, -
000. 00) to be paid by the State Roads Commission from the
road construction fund allocated to said County for the
