property shall be paid into the State Treasury and credited
to the general funds of the State.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the Governor
be and he is hereby authorized to execute the deeds neces-
sary to convey the property described in the preceding
section of this Act.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That all laws or parts
of laws inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, be and
they are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1933.

CHAPTER 410.
AN ACT to repeal, and re-enact with amendments, Section
188 of Article 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Cecil County, " sub-title
"Elkton, " and to add three new sections to said Article,
said new sections to be known as Sections 188A, 188B
and 188C and to follow immediately after Section 188 of
said Article, amending the charter of the town of Elkton.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 188 of Article 8 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Cecil
County, " sub-title "Elkton, " be, and the same is hereby
repealed and re-enacted with amendments, and three addi-
tional sections be, and the same are hereby, added to said
Article 8, title "Cecil County, " sub-title "Elkton, " said new
sections to be known as Sections 188A, 188B and 188C, to
follow immediately after Section 188 of said Article, and
to read as follows:
188. Said President and Commissioners shall have
the power to provide for the payment of the damage
and expenses of opening, widening, laying out, grading,
paving, draining, sewering and repairing the streets, lanes,
alleys, and sidewalks in the town, by levying and assessing
the same generally upon the whole of the assessable prop-
erty of the town, or specifically (not beyond one-half of
