CHAPTER 407.
AN ACT to repeal Section 405 of Article 17 of the Public
Local Laws of the State of Maryland, title "Prince
George's County, " subtitle "Edmonston, " as enacted by
Chapter 545 of the Acts of Assembly of 1927, (said Act
providing for an annual registration of voters in the
Town of Edmonston, in said County); and to repeal and
and re-enact with amendments Sections 402, 403, 404,
406, 415 and 416 of Article 17 of the Public Local Laws
of the State of Maryland, title and subtitle as aforesaid,
as enacted by Sections 5, 6, 7, 8, 17 and 18 of Chapter
154 of the Acts of Assembly of 1924 (said Act providing
for the incorporation of the Town of Edmonston, in said
County), said amendments providing for the filling of
vacancies in the offices of Mayor, Councilman or Treas-
urer, and for the election of said officers by the Mayor
and Council in the event of tie votes in town elections,
for the appointment of registration and election officers,
for the registration of voters and for town elections and
for the conduct of the same, fixing the qualifications
necessary for persons to hold the office of Mayor, Coun-
cilman or Treasurer, and providing the procedure neces-
sary to have the names of candidates placed on the bal-
lots in town elections, and providing for the levying of
taxes and the conduct of tax sales.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, that Section 405 of Article 17 of the Public Local
Laws of the State of Maryland, title "Prince George's
County, " subtitle "Edmonston, " as enacted by Chapter 545
of the Acts of Assembly of 1927, (said Act providing for
an annual registration of voters in the Town of Edmonston,
in said County) be, and the same is hereby, repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Sections 402,
403, 404, 406, 415 and 416 of Article 17 of the Public Local
Laws of the State of Maryland, title "Prince George's
County, " subtitle "Edmonston, " as enacted by Sections 5,
6, 7, 8, 17 and 18 of Chapter 154 of the Acts of Assembly
of 1924 (said Act providing for the incorporation of the
Town of Edmonston, in said County), be, and the same are
hereby, repealed and re-enacted with amendments as
follows:
Section 402. That at the first election of officers held
under this Charter, after notice printed in some county
