CHAPTER 406.
AN ACT to repeal Chapter 5 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland, passed at its January Session
in the year 1933, entitled "An Act to authorize and em-
power the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel
County to borrow upon the faith and credit of said
county a sum not to exceed Seven Hundred and Fifty
Thousand Dollars ($750, 000. 00) and to issue and sell
coupon bonds therefor for the purpose of providing funds
to pay outstanding notes of the County Commissioners
of Anne Arundel County evidencing the floating in-
debtedness of said county to the extent of the proceeds
of the sale of said bonds, and providing for the pay-
ment of said bonds and the interest thereon by a general
tax levy on all the taxable property within the limits
of said county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Chapter 5 of the Acts of the General As-
sembly of Maryland, passed at its January Session in the
year 1933, entitled "An Act to authorize and empower the
County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County to bor-
row upon the faith and credit of said county a sum not to
exceed Seven Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars ($750, -
000. 00) and to issue and sell coupon bonds therefor for the
purpose of providing funds to pay outstanding notes of the
County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County evidencing
the floating indebtedness of said county to the extent of
the proceeds of the sale of said bonds, and providing for
the payment of said bonds and the interest thereon by a
general tax levy on all the taxable property within the
limits of said county, " be and the same is hereby repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency law and necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public health and safety
and, having been passed by a yea and nay vote supported
by three-fifths of all the members elected to each of the
two Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
