wines and other beverages under this section, without a
license, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and be sentenced
to pay a fine of not less than $100. 00 nor more than
$500. 00, or undergo imprisonment in the jail of Anne
Arundel County, or House of Correction, for not less than
one month nor more than six months or to be both fined
and imprisoned in the discretion of the Court.

(i) Any person, firm or corporation who shall sell or fur-
nish beer, wine or other beverages to any person, firm or
corporation, in any manner or means other than provided
for in the license issued, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor,
and on conviction be fined not less than $100. 00 nor more
than $500. 00, or be confined in the county jail or House of
Correction, for not less than three months nor more than
six months, or both fined and imprisoned in the discretion
of the Court.

(j) Any person, firm or corporation found guilty of vio-
lating any of the provisions of this section, or on written
complaint signed by five citizens, the Mayor and Aldermen
may investigate the charges and if satisfied of the truth of
the complaint of conviction, may revoke the license and no
further license shall be issued to the party convicted with-
in a period of two years.

(k) All fines paid to the Sheriff of Anne Arundel County
under this section, shall be distributed by said Sheriff as
follows, to wit: one-half to the Treasurer of Anne Arundel
County, to be applied to the court expenses of the county,
and the remaining one-half to be turned over to the said
City of Annapolis, for the general use of the city.

(1) Nothing in this section shall be construed to repeal
or modify any of the provisions contained in, or the penalty
imposed by any provisions of the Code of Public Local
Laws, or Public Local Laws of this State, forbidding or
restricting the sale of intoxicating liquor; or any of the
provisions of the Local Code of the City of Annapolis, per-
taining to the sale of intoxicating liquors to minors, stu-
dents of St. John's College, students connected with or
attached to the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis,
or preparing for admission to said Academy, either for
his own use, or for the use of any other person, as pro-
vided in Section 54 of this Article.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act is here-
by declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety, and
having been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by
