by volume, but all such licenses shall expire on May 1 each
year except those issued in April, 1933, which shall expire
May 1, 1934.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Sections 128, 129
and 130 of Article 19 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "St. Mary's County, " sub-
title "Liquors and Intoxicating Drinks", be and they are
hereby repealed.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act is here-
by declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety, and
having been passed upon a yea and nay vote, supported by
three-fifths of all of the members elected to each of the two
Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 389.
AN ACT to add eleven new sections to Article 1 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, Edition of 1930,
title "Allegany County, " sub-title "Intoxicating Liquors, "
said new sections to follow immediately after Section
316A, and to be known as Sections 316B, 316C, 316D,
316E, 316F, 316G, 316H, 316 I, 316J, 316K and 316L,
to authorize the manufacture, sale and transportation of
and to regulate the sale and distribution in Allegany
County, Maryland, of beer, lager beer, porter and wine,
fermented malt or vinous liquor or fruit juice, contain-
ing one-half of one per centum or more of alcohol by
volume and not more than 3. 2 per centum of alcohol by
weight; to require a license for the manufacture, sale
and distribution of such beverages, and to provide the
manner and terms of the issuance of and the determina-
tion of remonstrances to the granting of such licenses
and the revocation thereof; to provide penalties for the
violation of this Act and to repeal all Public General and
Public Local Laws inconsistent or in conflict with the
provisions of this Act to the extent of such inconsistency
or conflict.
