672 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 387

Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, Edition of 1924,
entitled "Testamentary Law, " sub-title "Distribution, " be,
and the same hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, so as to read as follows:

127. If there be a surviving husband or a widow, as
the case may be, and no child or descendant of the intes-
tate, but the said intestate shall leave a father or mother,
the surviving husband or widow, as the case may be, shall
have one-half. If there be a surviving husband or widow,
as the case may be, and no child or descendant of the in-
testate, and no parent, but the said intestate shall leave a
brother or sister, or a child or descendant of a brother or
sister, the surviving husband or widow, as the case may be,
shall take Two Thousand Dollars ($2, 000. 00) or its equiv-
alent in property, or any interest therein, at its appraised
value, and one-half of the residue.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect on June 1st, 1933.

CHAPTER 387.

AN ACT to repeal Sections 446 to 456, inclusive, and Sec-
tions 458 to 473, inclusive, of the Public Local Laws of
Baltimore County, as codified in Offutt's Revised Code
of the Public Local Laws of Baltimore County, Edition
of 1929, title No. 34, "Liquor and Intoxicating Drinks, "
(Flack's Code, 1930, Article 3, same sections), so as to
abolish and extinguish the restrictions and prohibitions
heretofore established regarding the sale of liquor, in-
toxicating drinks and alcoholic beverages in the areas in
Baltimore County described in the sections referred to.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 446, 452, 453, 454, 455, 456, 458,
459, 460, 461, 462, 463, 464, 465, 466, 467, 468, 469, 470, 471,
472 and 473 of the Public Local Laws of Baltimore County,
as codified in Offutt's Revised Code of the Public Local
Laws of Baltimore County, Edition of 1929, title No. 34,
"Liquor and Intoxicating Drinks, " (Flack's Code, 1930,
