mar Manor, " as said sections were amended by Chapter
190 of the Acts of 1931, relating to registration and
elections, granting additional powers to the Mayor and
Town Council, and relating to tax and assessment sales.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 243, 245, 246, 247, 248, 249, 253
and 255 of Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Prince George's County, "
sub-title "Colmar Manor, " as said sections were amended
by Chapter 190 of the Acts of 1931, be and they are hereby
repealed and re-enacted with amendments, to read as
follows:

243. At the first election of officers held under this
charter, hereby provided to be held on the second Tuesday
in July, 1931, the qualified voters of said town shall elect a
Mayor to serve a term of two years, and a councilman for
the first ward and a councilman for the third ward, each
to serve a term of two years, to be voted for by the quali-
fied voters of their respective wards. Every two years
after the second Tuesday in July, 1931, the qualified voters
of the Town of Colmar Manor shall elect a Mayor, and at
each successive annual election after the second Tuesday
in July, 1931, the qualified voters of each ward in which
there is a vacancy shall elect a councilman to serve a term
of two years. All citizens of the United States of the age
of twenty-one years or over who have qualified as voters
of the said town as hereinafter in this charter provided
shall be qualified to vote for the election of officers of the
said town and at all elections provided for under this char-
ter. The Mayor must continuously reside in said town and
each councilman in his respective ward during their terms
of office, and they shall receive no compensation for their
services. The Mayor and councilmen hereunder shall qual-
ify within ten days succeeding their election by taking an
oath before any officer of the State of Maryland duly au-
thorized to take an affidavit.

All elections for town purposes shall as nearly as prac-
ticable be conducted as are elections for county officers in
Prince George's County, except as herein provided.

245. Annually on or before the first Monday in June,
the Mayor and Council shall appoint a Board of Election
Supervisors to consist of two judges and two clerks,
which board shall conduct a registration to determine
