following such twenty-four month period, term or ma-
turity.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is here-
by declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety,
and having been passed upon a yea and nay vote, sup-
ported by three-fifths of all of the members elected to each
of the two Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 36.
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 13 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Harford County, "
sub-title "Taxes and County Treasurer, " to follow Sec-
tion 478 of said Article, to be known as Section 478A,
providing for the sale of real estate on which taxes are
due when the date named in Section 478 falls on a na-
tional holiday.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be added to Article 13 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Harford
County, " sub-title "Taxes and County Treasurer, " to fol-
low Section 478 of said Article, and to be known as Sec-
tion 47 8A, and to read as follows:
478A. If the fourth Monday in December referred to
in the foregoing section shall be a legal holiday, then the
sales referred to in said section shall be held on the next
succeeding day which is not a legal holiday.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect on June 1st, 1933.
