SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1933.

CHAPTER 32.
AN ACT to authorize and empower the Mayor and Coun-
cil of Pocomoke City to sell certain ornamental street
lighting equipment, materials and supplies and the
rights, titles and interests in connection therewith and
with respect thereto, to The Maryland Light and Power
Company, and to grant, convey, transfer and assign the
same to the said purchaser.
WHEREAS, The Mayor and Council of Pocomoke City, a
Maryland municipal corporation, is the owner of an orna-
mental street lighting system located on a part of Market
Street, in Pocomoke City, Maryland, and of the equipment,
materials and supplies, comprising the same, and the rights,
titles and interest in connection therewith and in respect
thereto; and
WHEREAS, The said Mayor and Council of Pocomoke City
has agreed to sell the said equipment, materials and sup-
plies, comprising said ornamental street lighting system,
and its rights, titles and interests in connection therewith
and in respect thereto, unto The Maryland Light and Power
Company, a Maryland corporation, at and for the sum of
$2, 000; and
WHEREAS, A specific authority from and/or consent of
the General Assembly of Maryland is deemed necessary to
invest said Mayor and Council of Pocomoke City with
power and authority to sell and to grant, convey, transfer
and assign the said property and rights to the said The
Maryland Light and Power Company, its successors and
assigns; therefore
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Mayor and Council of Pocomoke City
be and it is hereby authorized and empowered to sell the
ornamental street lighting system now owned by said
Mayor and Council of Pocomoke City and located on a part
of Market Street, in Pocomoke City, Maryland, and the
equipment, materials and supplies comprising the same,
