CHAPTER 339.
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 5 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Calvert County, " sub-title "Circuit Court, " said new
section to follow immediately after Section 72B and to
be known as Section 72C, to provide for the submission
to the clerk to the County Commissioners of said county
of deeds and leases before they shall be received for rec-
ord by the clerk of the Circuit Court of said county, pro-
viding for regulations in connection therewith, and re-
lieving the clerk of the Circuit Court of said county from
the necessity of furnishing lists of recorded conveyances
and other data to said County Commissioners.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Article 5 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Calvert County, " sub-title "Circuit
Court, " said new section to follow immediately after Sec-
tion 72B, to be known as Section 72C, and to read 'as
follows:
72C. Before any deed or lease for the conveyance or
lease of real estate in Calvert County shall be received for
record by the clerk of the Circuit Court of Calvert County
the person offering said deed or lease for record shall sub-
mit the same to the clerk to the County Commissioners of
said county, who shall thereupon make transfer on the
county assessment books of the property described in said
deed or lease to the name of the new owner or owners
thereof, and as evidence of said transfer, shall stamp upon
said deed his certificate thereof, and no deed shall be re-
ceived for record without said certificate. At the time of
submitting the deed or lease to the clerk to the County
Commissioners, the person or persons offering the same
shall furnish said clerk with a written statement subscribed
by said person or persons indicating the buildings, if any,
upon the land conveyed by said deed or lease, and the price
paid for said property.
The clerk of the Circuit Court of Calvert County is
hereby relieved of the necessity of furnishing to the County
Commissioners of said county lists of alienations chancery
sales, judgments and decrees as heretofore required by law.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all laws and
parts of laws, whether Public General Laws or Public Local
