608 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 328

Sheriff of Carroll County shall receive and confine the
party so committed in the same manner as other prisoners.

Section 76A. The Mayor and Council are authorized
and directed and are given full power and authority to pro-
vide for the revision and codification of all its ordinances
heretofore passed or which may hereafter be passed, and
to provide for the payment of the same, and to by ordi-
nance approve and adopt said revision and codification as
a whole, as and for the ordinances then existing and in
force in the town of Hampstead. And said ordinances, so
revised and codified,, when adopted and approved by the
Mayor and Council, shall be evidence of said ordinances
in any count of this State, or before any Justice of the
Peace, and a printed copy thereof, published by the author-
ity of the Mayor and Council, shall be received in evidence
and have the same force and validity as the original. All
ordinances passed before or after the adoption of such
codification may also be proven by either the original or
the record thereof in the book provided by the Mayor and
Council for recording them.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all Acts or parts
of Acts inconsistent with the aforegoing provisions be and
the same are hereby repealed.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect on the first day of June, 1933.

CHAPTER 328.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments, Sections
26 and 27 of Article 56 of Bagby's Annotated Code of
Maryland, title "Licenses, " sub-title "Hawkers and Ped-
dlers, " exempting Kent County from the provisions of
the State-wide Law providing when hawkers' and ped-
dlers' licenses are necessary to be obtained and the
amount to be paid for such license when required to be
issued.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 26 and 27 of Article 56 of Bagby's
Annotated Code of Maryland, title "Licenses, " sub-title
"Hawkers' and Peddlers, " be and the same is hereby re-
