and revision of ordinances, to follow Section 75 and to
be known as Section 76A.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 65, 66, 75, 84 and 85 of Article 7
of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Carroll County, "
sub-title "Hampstead, " be and the same are hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted with amendments and to be known
as Sections 65, 66, 75, 84 and 85, and that an additional
section relating to codification and revision of ordinances
to follow Section 75 and to be known as Section 76A, be
enacted so as to read as follows:

Section 65. All persons who have resided within the
corporate limits of said town for six months next preceding
the election, and who are qualified to vote for delegates for
the General Assembly, shall be qualified voters of the cor-
poration, and entitled to vote at any corporation election
held under the provisions of this sub-title or any ordinance
made in pursuance thereof; the said voters shall elect by
ballot on the first Monday of May in every second year be-
ginning on the first Monday of May, 1934, at such place as
shall be designated by the Mayor and Council between two
o'clock P. M.. and six o'clock P. M.. one person, at least
twenty-five years of age, who is the owner of real estate or
leasehold property within the corporate limits of said town,
and who has resided in said town at least two years next
preceding said election, Mayor of said town; and six per-
sons, each of whom shall be at least twenty-one years of age,
and shall have resided in said town at least one year next
preceding said election, and be the owner of real estate or
leasehold property within the corporate limits of said town,
members of the Council.

Section 66. The Mayor shall give at least two weeks'
notice of the election by hand bills posted in not less than
five public places in said town, and shall appoint three per-
sons who are qualified at such election, judges of election,
and the said judges shall appoint a clerk, who shall record
the names of the persons voting as they vote; and each of
said judges before holding any elections, shall swear or
affirm before a Justice of the Peace of said Carroll County
or a Notary Public of the State of Maryland, that he will
fairly and impartially discharge the duty of judge of such
election; and immediately after the close of the election
said judges shall, in the presence of such persons as may
desire to witness the same, count the ballots, and the per-
