rates of pay, including longevity pay and qualification pay,
prescribed in Section 31 of this Article.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1933.

CHAPTER 306.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections
495, 497, 499 and 502 of Article 2 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Anne
Arundel County, " sub-title "Treasurer, " as amended by
Chapter 280 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland of 1931, extending certain time limits for the
collection of taxes for the years 1931, 1932 and 1933,
prescribing and limiting the pay of the County Treas-
urer, transferring the duty of assessing property from
the Treasurer to the Chief Assessor of said County, and
for other purposes relating to the tax system of said
County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 495, 497, 499 and 502 of Article 2
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Anne Arundel County, " sub-title "Treasurer, "
as amended by Chapter 280 of the Acts of the General As-
sembly of Maryland of 1931, be and the same are hereby
repealed and re-enacted with amendments, so as to read as
follows:

495. Immediately after the first day of January in the
year nineteen hundred and thirty-three, and each and every
year thereafter, and in no event later than the tenth day
of said month, the treasurer shall make an alphabetical list
by election districts, in their numerical order, of all taxes
due and in arrears, which list shall contain the names of
the person or persons or body corporate assessed with
property upon which taxes are due and in arrears, a brief
description of the property sufficient to identify it, and
taken from the assessment books of the county, the amount
of the tax levied and in arrears, and of all taxes in arrears
