42 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 20

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 194 of Article 13 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Harford County, "
sub-title "Court Stenographer, " be and the same is here-
by repealed and re-enacted with amendment to read as
follows:

Section 194. The Circuit Court for Harford County is
hereby authorized and directed to appoint a Court Stenog-
rapher, who shall be a sworn officer of said Court, and said
Stenographer so appointed shall receive a salary of
Two Thousand Dollars per annum, to be paid in equal
monthly installments, as the jurors and bailiffs of said
Court are now paid.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect on January 1, 1934.

Approved March 3, 1933.

CHAPTER 20.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
458 of Article 13 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, title "Harford County, " sub-title "State's At-
torney, " providing for the reduction of the salary now
paid the State's Attorney.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 458 of Article 13 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Harford County, "
sub-title "State's Attorney, " be and the same is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted with amendment to read as follows:

Section 458. The State's Attorney of Harford County
shall receive an annual salary of Two Thousand Dollars,
to be paid him by the County Commissioners of said
County, in quarterly installments from the first Monday in
January, nineteen hundred and thirty-five, the same to be
levied by the County Commissioners for the use of the
State's Attorney as aforesaid.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect on January 1, 1935.
