county purposes now are treated; that the said taxes so
levied for the ensuing year may be collected by the tax
collecting authorities for said county, and every sixty days
the said authorities shall remit the entire amount of the
taxes so collected to the said corporation, or to its duly
authorized treasurer or to its successor or successors, upon
the said corporation causing the said treasurer to execute
and deliver a bond to the said County Commissioners with
surety by an approved surety corporation in a penal sum
equal to the amount of taxes to be levied, as shown by the
report of the said corporation, conditioned upon the faith-
ful discharge of the duties of the treasurer as imposed
upon him by law; that the funds received pursuant to said
tax levy by the treasurer of the said corporation, its suc-
cessor or successors, may be used to pay all the proper
costs, expenses, claims and demands of and against the
said corporation; that if the taxes levied as aforesaid in
any one year be inadequate to defray all the said posts, ex-
penses, claims and demands, the amount of the deficiency
shall be added to the levy for the next ensuing year and be
collected in the aforesaid year's taxes; that the area herein-
before mentioned is more particularly described as follows;
to wit: Beginning at a point on the western boundary line
of the District of Columbia where the said boundary line
and the center line of the public road known as the River
Road intersects, and running thence southwesterly along
and with the western boundary line of the District of Col-
umbia to the Maryland-Virginia boundary line on the south
side of the Potomac River; thence along and with the said
Maryland-Virginia boundary line to a point on the said
Maryland-Virginia boundary line directly opposite the
mouth of Cabin John Creek, thence northward along the
center line of said Cabin John Creek to the northern boun-
dary of Conduit Road, thence eastward along Conduit Road
to the western boundary of Wilson Lane, thence along
Wilson Lane to the center line of River Road; thence south-
easterly along and with the center line of said road to the
place of beginning.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act is here-
by declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety, and
being passed by a yea and nay vote supported by three-
fifths of all the members elected to each of the two Houses
of the General Assembly the same shall take effect from the
date of its passage.
