power granted by this Act shall be exercised by each of the
incorporated towns in Allegany County to the same extent
as if said authority and power had been granted and con-
ferred in the particular Act or Acts incorporating each of
said incorporated towns, and it is hereby declared to be
the intention of the General Assembly of Maryland, that
the, authority and power conferred and granted by this
Act are hereby conferred upon each of the incorporated
towns in Allegany County to the same extent as if a sepa-
rate Act had been passed conferring said authority and
power upon each of said incorporated towns by name.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That all laws or parts
of laws, whether Public General or Public Local Laws, in-
" consistent with the provisions of this Act be and they are
hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1933.

CHAPTER 181.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
353 of Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Prince George's
County, " sub-title "County Treasurer, " so as to change
the rate of interest to be paid when any land sold for
taxes is redeemed.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 353 of Article 17 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Prince George's County sub-title "County Treasurer, "

be; and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with
amendments so as to read as follows:

353Should the purchase money for any piece of land

sold at tax sale be more than the taxes, interests, penalties and costs of sale due thereon, the purchaser thereof shall

only pay on the day of sale the amount of taxes, interest,

penalties and costs of sale, and the residue shall be pay-

able after the period of redemption has expired, to the

treasurer, for the time being, upon the execution by him
