SEC. 2. There shall only be five County Commissioners
for Montgomery County and provisions for the nomination
and election of said County Commissioners, as set forth in
Section 196 of said Article 16, shall be made to apply to
five Commissioner Districts instead of seven.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1933, and shall not be construed to affect
any of the duties, powers or privileges of the Board of
County Commissioners of Montgomery County as now con-
stituted until their successors have been elected and quali-
fied in the next General Election succeeding said date.

CHAPTER 165.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 16 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Montgomery County, " sub-title "Maryland-Washington
Metropolitan District, " said new section to be known as
Section 588A and to follow immediately after Section
588 of said Article, authorizing the Maryland-National
Capital Park and Planning Commission to name and re-
name the streets and highways and to number and re-
number the houses within the boundaries of the Mary-
land-Washington Metropolitan District lying within
Montgomery County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Montgomery County, " sub-title
"Maryland-Washington Metropolitan District, " said new
section to be known as Section 588A, to follow immediately
after Section 588 of said Article, and to read as follows:

588A. For the purpose of removing confusion due to
a duplication of street names and in order to secure a uni-
formity of street names and numbering of houses, the said
Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commis-
sion is hereby authorized and empowered to name and re-
name any street or highway and to number and re-number
the houses within the boundaries of the Maryland-Wash-
