CHAPTER 150.
AN ACT to add three new sections to Article 15 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (Flack's 1930
Edition), title "Kent County, " sub-title "Betterton, " said
new sections to be known as Sections 66A, 66B and 66C
and to follow immediately after Section 66 of said
Article, authorizing and empowering the Commission-
ers of Betterton, Kent County, to borrow on the faith
and credit of said town, a sum of money not exceeding
Fifteen Hundred Dollars ($1, 500. 00) for each of the
years 1933, 1934, 1935 and 1936 to be used in pay-
ment for amount due on road bonds and coupons thereon,
issued for street improvement under Act of Assembly of
1927, Chapter 529, and to issue a note or notes therefor
and to provide for the payment of interest on said note
or notes and the redemption thereof at maturity by
taxes to be levied upon all the assessable property in said
town of Betterton.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That three new sections be and they are hereby
added to Article 15 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
the State of Maryland (Flack's 1930 Edition), title "Kent
County, " sub-title "Betterton, " said new sections to be
known as Sections 66A, 66B and 66C to follow immedi-
ately after Section 66 of said Article and to read as follows:
66A. Whenever, from time to time, the amount of taxes
collected in Betterton, Kent County, Maryland, shall be in-
sufficient to pay the One Thousand Dollars ($1, 000. 00) due
on the road bonds authorized by Act of Assembly of 1927,
Chapter 529, and the interest thereon, the Commissioners
of Betterton are hereby authorized and empowered to bor-
row on the faith and credit of said town for the payment
on said bonds and the interest thereon for a period of time
not to exceed twelve months, a sum of money not to exceed
Fifteen Hundred Dollars ($1, 500. 00) for each of the years
1933, 1934, 1935 and 1936 and to issue for said indebted-
ness the note or notes of the said the Commissioners of
Betterton, the said note or notes to be signed by the Com-
missioners of Betterton, to bear interest from the date
of its or their issuance at a rate not exceeding six per
centum per annum and the Commissioners of Betterton
are hereby authorized to apply said sum or sums in each
of the years 1933, 1934, 1935 and 1936 for the purpose of
making payments due on said road bonds and the interest
thereon in each of the years 1933, 1934, 1935 and 1936,
