maintenance and current expenses of public schools and/
or for the current expenses of said County and to issue
a note or notes therefor, and to provide for the payment
of interest on said note or notes and the redemption
thereof at maturity by taxes to be levied upon all the
assessable property in said County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That three new Sections be and they are hereby
added to Article 15 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
the State of Maryland (Flack's 1930 Edition), title "Kent
County, " sub-title, "County Commissioners, " said new Sec-
tions to be known as Sections 151 A, 151B and 151C, to fol-
low immediately after Section 151 of said Article and to
read as follows:.

151 A. Whenever, from time to time, the amount of
taxes collected in Kent County shall be insufficient for the
maintenance and current expenses of the public schools of
said County and/or to meet the current expenses of said
County, the County Commissioners of Kent County are
hereby authorized and empowered to borrow on the faith
and credit of said County for the maintenance and current
expenses of the public school of said County and/or for
the current expenses of said County, for a period of time
not to exceed six months, a sum of money not to exceed
Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50, 000. 00) for each of the years
1933 and 1934 and to issue for said indebtedness the note
or notes of the said County Commissioners of Kent County,
the said note or notes to be signed by the County Commis-
sioners of Kent County, to bear interest from the date of
its or their issuance at a rate not exceeding six per centum
per annum and of the amount or amounts which may be so
borrowed, the County Commissioners of Kent County are
hereby authorized to apply a sum not exceeding Thirty
Thousand Dollars ($30, 000. 00) in each of the years 1933
and 1934 for the maintenance and current expenses of the
public schools of said County and a sum not exceeding
Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20, 000. 00) in each of the
years 1933 and 1934 for other current expenses of said
County.

And the said County Commissioners of Kent County are
hereby authorized and empowered to renew such note or
notes as may be issued in pursuance of the provisions of
this Section; providing, however, that at no time may a
sum in excess of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50, 000. 00) be
due and owing by the said County Commissioners of Kent
