"Talbot County, " sub-title "Dogs, " said new section to
be known as Section 128A and to. follow immediately
after Section 128 of said Article, to provide for the de-
struction of dogs and sluts running at large without
wearing the tags prescribed in Section 267 of Article 56
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1929 Supplement),
and to fix penalties for obstructing the enforcement
thereof.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Article 21 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Talbot County, " sub-title "Dogs, "
said new section to be known as Section 128A, to follow
immediately after Section. 128 of said Article, and to read
as follows:
128A. The County Commissioners shall direct the con-
stables and sheriff to destroy any dog or slut for which the
tax, provided for in Section 267 of Article 56 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1929 Supplement), is not paid as
therein provided, and which runs at large without wearing
the tag therein prescribed; and for such service said
Commissioners may allow such compensation as they may
deem adequate, provided the same be paid from the taxes
collected on dogs and sluts. Any person opposing or in
any way hindering any constable or sheriff in killing any
dog or slut in the performance of his duty hereunder, shall
be fined not more than one hundred dollars nor less than
ten dollars and costs, upon conviction before any Justice
of the Peace in and for Talbot County, and shall stand
committed to the County Jail until said fine and costs are
paid.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1933.
