CHAPTER 84.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
244 of Article 12 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Garrett County, " sub-
title "Justices of the Peace and Constables, " so as to
provide that all Justices of the Peace in said County shall
make to the County Commissioners of said County, re-
ports of fines and fees imposed and that said fines and
fees shall be paid to the County Treasurer, and to pro-
vide penalties for the violation thereof.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 244 of Article 12 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Gar-
rett County, " sub-title "Justices of the Peace and Con-
stables, " be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted
with amendments so as to read as follows:

244. The aforesaid fees of said constables and Justices
for said counties shall be taxed against and paid by the
party against whom judgment shall be rendered, unless
he be discharged therefrom by due course of law; if such
party against whom judgment is rendered is unable to pay
the same, such fees shall be paid by the county wherein
said judgment was rendered; and all fines and penalties
received by any justice under the provisions of Section
242 shall be accounted for and wholly paid, without abate-
ment or deduction therefrom by such justice, to the
County Treasurer of Garrett County, for the use of said
county; and no part of any fine or penalty enforced
or collected under said section shall be paid to any in-
former. All fines and penalties belonging to the State of
Maryland and received by any Justice shall within ten days
after the collection and receipt thereof be accounted for
and wholly paid over by said Justice to the proper State
official, without abatement or deduction therefrom by said
Justice. It shall be the duty of each Justice in said County
to make to the County Commissioners of said county once
every six months, a report of all fines and penalties im-
posed and/or collected by said Justice during the six
months immediately preceding. Said report shall be
itemized and shall show in detail what said fines and pen-
alties were imposed and upon whom, and when and by
whom paid.

Any Justice of the Peace who shall fail to comply with
the provisions, of this section shall be guilty of a mis-
