entering judgment by confession in promissory notes,
seventy-five cents; for taking every acknowledgment of
every deed or other instrument of writing from each per-
son making an acknowledgment, thirty cents; for issuing
an attachment by way of execution, fifty cents; for taking
replevin or other bonds, fifty cents; for entering every con-
tinuance, twenty-five cents; for every transcript of docket,
twenty-five cents; for issuing State writ, fifty cents; for
issuing search warrant, fifty cents; for taking recognizance
of each witness, thirty cents; for taking recognizance of
each report to Court, thirty cents; for every commitment,
fifty cents; for every release, fifty cents; for holding an
inquest upon a deceased person, five dollars.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1933.

CHAPTER 82.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
282 of Article 21 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Talbot County, " sub-
title "Justices of the Peace and Constables, " sub-heading
"Police Justices, " conferring civil jurisdiction on the
Police Justice in the town of Oxford, Talbot County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 282 of Article 21 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Tal-
bot County, " sub-title "Justices of the Peace and Con-
stables, " sub-heading "Police Justices, " be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted with amendments, to read as
follows:
282. It shall be the duty of the Governor, in appointing
the Justice of the Peace provided by Section 269 of said
Local Laws for Election District No. 3, to appoint two of
said Justices of the Peace for the first and second precincts
and two for the third precinct of said Election District, and
it shall be the duty of the Governor, after the appointment
of said Justices of the Peace to select and designate one
of the Justices of the Peace so appointed for the third pre-
cinct of the Third Election District of Talbot County, who
