If it shall become necessary to employ other Clerk or
Clerks in said office, the Treasurer, by and with the con-
sent of the County Commissioners, may employ same at a
salary or salaries to be fixed by said Commissioners. The
Treasurer shall be responsible for the official conduct of
such Clerk or Clerks so appointed by him.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1933.

CHAPTER 71.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
202 of Article 23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Wicomico County, " sub-
title "Revenue and Taxes, " decreasing the salary of the
Clerk to the County Commissioners.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 202 of Article 23 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Wi-
comico County, " sub-title "Revenue and Taxes, " be and it
is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments to
read as follows:

202. The County Commissioners of Wicomico County
shall on or before the first day of July, 1927, appoint a
Clerk to the County Commissioners of said County, and,
unless sooner removed for cause, he shall hold his office_
until January 1, 1929, and thereafter the said County Com-
missioners of Wicomico County shall on or before the
thirty-first day of December, 1928, and every two years
thereafter, appoint such Clerk, and, unless sooner removed
for cause, he shall hold his office for two years from the —
first day of January next succeeding his appointment.
and shall receive an annual salary not to exceed (Twelve)
Hundred Dollars, payable monthly by Wicomico County.
The said official shall perform all his duties and serv-
ices now required by law or which may hereafter be
required of him by law, or which may be required of him
by any order of the County Commissioners. He shall make
full, complete and accurate minutes of all transactions and
