of opening, extending, widening or straightening, in whole
or in part, any street, square, lane or alley in Baltimore
City. To provide by ordinance for the collection of rent or
revenue, which may or can be derived or collected from
the occupiers, tenants, or by whatever term they may be
called, for the use and occupation by them, of all building
or buildings, or other property which the city pays for,
to the owners thereof, in all cases of street openings,
straightenings, closings or widenings, or in any case of
condemnation for any purpose whatever, said rent to be
paid by said tenants or occupiers of said building or build-
ings, or other property, to the city authorities, from the
date of payment for the same by the city to the owners
thereof, or from the date of the tender of such payment,
if for any cause said owners refuse or cannot lawfully
accept the same, until said building or buildings are re-
moved, and until said property shall be required by the
city for its purposes, under the condemnation proceedings.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1933.

CHAPTER 69.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 93 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1924 Edition), title "Testa-
mentary Law, " sub-title "Account, " said new section to
be known as Section 5B and to follow immediately after
Section 5A of said Article, relating to the payment of
funeral expenses by executors and administrators.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be, and it is hereby added to
Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1924 Edi-
tion), title "Testamentary. Law, " sub-title "Account, " said
new section to, be known as; Section 5B, to; follow immedi-
ately after Section 5 A of said Article, and to read as fol-
lows:

5B. Whenever any married woman dies, or shall have
died, her estate, providing it be solvent, shall be liable
for the payment of her funeral expenses, to be allowed in
